There are a million patterns out there for fingerless gloves, and yet the need was there to create my own pattern. Fingerless gloves are a wonderful, ingenious idea that not only keeps your hands nice and toasty, but allows you the freedom to text, type or anything you need to accomplish that still requires your fingers.

Materials:
  • Any worsted weight yarn of your choice (color a and color b)
  • G hook
  • F hook
Stitches and terms used:
  • Slip Stitch – sl st
  • Chain – ch
  • Double crochet – dc
  • Front Post Double Crochet – fpdc
  • Back Post Double Crochet – bpdc
Sizes
  • Small - fdc 30
  • Medium - fdc 35 (keep in mind that you will end at 2 fpdc for the ending round)
  • Large - fdc 41 (keep in mind that you will end up at 2 fpdc for the ending round)
  • X-Large - fdc 45
With G hook, foundation dc (fdc) the appropriate number for your size and when you get to the end, sl st to form a circle.
Round 1 Ch 2, *2 fpdc in next 2 dc, 1 bpdc in next dc*, repeat from * until you get to the ch 2. End with 1 fpdc. Sl st in to ch 2.
Round 2 Ch 2 *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 fpdc in next bpdc*, repeat from * around, ending with a 1 fpdc. Sl st in to ch 2.
Round 3 Ch 2 *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from *, ending with a 1 dc. Sl st into ch 2.
Round 4 Ch 2 *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from, ending with a 1 dc. Sl st into ch 2 and change to color b.
Round 5 With color b, ch 2, *2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from *, ending with a dc. Sl St into ch 2.
Round 6 Ch 2 *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from *, ending with a dc. Sl st into ch 2 and change to color a.
Round 7 - 10 repeat round 3
The next round creates the thumb area.
Round 11 Ch 6, sk 5 st and dc in 6th stitch, *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from *, ending with a dc. Sl st in 2nd ch.
Round 12 Ch 2, (there are 4 chain not worked), dc in each one, dc in nxt dc, *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from *, ending with a dc. Sl st in 2nd ch.
Round 13 Ch 2, 2 fpdc in nxt 2 dc, 1 dc in nxt dc, 1 fpdc in same st as dc, 1 fpdc in next st, 1 dc in next dc, *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc* repeat from *, ending with a dc. Sl st in 2nd ch. Switch to color b.
Round 14-15 repeat rounds 5 and 6. After round 6 switch to color a.
Round 16 Switch to F hook, Ch 2 *2 fpdc in next 2 fpdc, 1 dc in next dc*, repeat from *, ending with a 1 dc. Sl st into ch 2.
Round 17 Ch 1 *sc in next 2 st, scdec* repeat from * ending with a sl st into ch 1. Weave in all ends, and fasten off.
