Free pattern: Granny stripe slouch
Acquanetta Ferguson
Are you like me with way, and I mean way too much yarn? I decided to go on a stash busting crusade, and came up with a perfect design to help put a dent in your own yarn stash.
I first grabbed all the same brand of yarn, Red Heart Soft, and then threw them in a bag. I then pulled one skein of yarn out at a time, which is how I created the color scheme. This made it fun, without putting too much thought into the overall process of trying to pick the right colors that go together.
This hat is perfect for a nice spring day or for those times you really do not want to deal with your hair.
Project time is about 4 hours. This hat should fit an average woman’s head (mine is 22 inches). For a smaller or larger size you can either dec/inc the starting foundation chain making sure to come up with numbers that divide by 3. For example, my starting foundation is 72. Or you can just go up a hook size or down a hook size.
Pattern is written in US crochet terms. This pattern gives you PERMISSION TO SELL your finished items. It is appreciated if you credit the design to Acquanetta Ferguson and to list the pattern link.

Now for the finishing touch. Flip the hat over. Sl st yarn to the foundation row, and sc 72 stitches evenly, and just keep going for 3 rounds. Fasten off and weave in ends. I know this not the way most people do their band, however I like how it came out.
