Free crochet pattern: Basket case slouch
Originally posted March 8, 20159:49 PM MST
This hat is just your basic basket weave construction with a nice slouch, without being over the top slouchy.
This hat should take you approximately 5-7 hours, depending on your level of experience. Gauge is given however this hat is quite simple to adjust for all sizes. Basically it depends on what your starting number is. For this hat a number that is divisible by 6 will work best (i.e. 60, 66, 72, 78, 84, 90, etc.). Just follow the basic pattern with your specifications, as the decrease rounds will not match my numbers.
The hat should fit 20-22 inches.
Pattern is written in US crochet terms. This pattern gives you PERMISSION TO SELL your finished items. It is appreciated if you credit the design to Acquanetta Ferguson and to list the pattern link.

Special Stitch: Wrapped Single Crochet – wsc
Special definition for the wsc: Insert hook into next st. Move your working yarn to the back of your work between the hook and the fabric. Complete single crochet normally, making sure to hold the yarn in place (the working yarn moved to the back of your work) while working your sc. Not sure on the directions?
