Are looking for a last minute Christmas gift to make in a jiffy? How about a simple beanie? This one is easily adjustable for teens to men, and the hat has a great amount stretch, while still looking good on the noggin.
This hat is great for a beginner as it uses simple stiches. But for an advanced crocheter this can be done very quickly. In fact the project should take no more than 2 hours to complete, and the cost is the yarn color of your choice.
Please do not post this pattern on your website or take it as your own. I ask that you instead link to my page, which will help with internet karma. Please note you can use this pattern for personal use and sell what you make. I only ask that you credit me as the pattern creator and link to this article. Thank you.

Red Heart Super Saver in black and blue suede or any other worsted weight yarn.

Half double crochet – hdc

With I hook chain 3, slip stitch to make a circle, or magic circle if you choose.

Round 2 Ch 2, dc in same stitch as chain 2, then 2 dc in each dc around. Sl st in ch 2. 20 dc
Round 3 Ch 2, 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat from * around. Sl st in ch 2. 30 dc
Round 4 Ch 2, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next* repeat from * around. Sl st in ch 2. 40 dc
Round 5 Ch 2, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat from * around. Sl st in ch 2. 50 dc
Round 6 Ch 2, dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next dc, *dc in next 9 dc, 2 dc in next dc* repeat from * around. Sl st in ch 2. 55 dc
Round 7-14 Ch 2, dc in each dc around. Sl st in ch 2. 55 dc
Round 15 Ch 1, hdc in each dc around. Sl st in ch 1. Fasten off and weave and cut ends. 55 hdc.
If you are changing color, I added the blue at round 11, however you could do a solid color or any color combo you want. This hat can go over the ears, but if pushed back it will be slightly slouchy.
Try an H hook for a smaller head or a J hook for a larger head.
Be sure to look out for day 2.
