12 days of DIY crochet gifts to make: Day 11- another slouch hat
Day 11 of the 12 days of DIY gifts to make presents another slouchy hat to make. But this one uses a new stitch I learned recently and I wanted to incorporate it into a hat I was thinking about.
The stitch is called the wrapped single crochet (wsc) and it produces a knit-like stitch called a purl stitch. It is a raised stitch that offers up great texture. The sample I made only uses one color, but I can imagine that in two or more colors, the raised stitches would definitely pop out more.
This is worked from the bottom up.
The hat project time is about 4 hours to make.
