As a designer, sometimes you think your ideas will sell, and yet, I was not able to get as much traction as I wanted to with this design. Because I want everyone to create their own, I decided it is time to make the pattern free instead of retiring it.
It has been tested fully, and it really is a fun hat to make and the color choices are endless. This design is an advanced beginner; however with the pictures I’ve included even a beginner should be able to work on this design.
Since I don’t always like to work with ombres as my main choice when it comes to hats, I thought this the perfect time to use it as a contrasting color with a main complimentary color. Though with a hat like this any color combination will work.
Since it is a bit of a tutorial (13 pages), you will need to download the pdf of the pattern. I thought that would be easier. The project time is from 2-4 hours.
Pattern is written in US crochet terms. This pattern gives you PERMISSION TO SELL your finished items. It is appreciated if you credit the design to Acquanetta Ferguson and to list the pattern link.
Materials
Any worsted weight (#4) yarn; however I used Red heart Super Saver. You will only need two skeins (1
MC and 1 CC). I used ombre yarn for the cc which allows you to create a great color scheme without
adding more skeins. You can of course use any color combination you want, but I felt this was a nice way
to save on money.
