This new design was inspired by the yarn. Have you heard that Bernat Mosaic has been discontinued? This is sad, because I like the yarn, especially the way the colors show.

This pattern should work with other comparable yarns, like Red Heart Boutique.

This hat should take 2 hours to 3 hours to complete depending on your skill level. However it is really an easy hat to complete since it is all half double crochet.

Pattern is written in US crochet terms. This pattern gives you PERMISSION TO SELL your finished items. It is appreciated if you credit the design to Acquanetta Ferguson and to list the pattern link.

Gauge:

5 rows: 2"

7 sts: 2”

Materials:

Bernat Mosaic Ninja

H hook

Tapestry Needle

Stitches used:

Half Double Crochet - hdc

Round 1 With H hook, ch 3, then hdc in 3rd, then 10 hdc in in 3rd ch from hook. Please note you will just con’t to go in a spiral until the last 2 rows. (10 hdc)

Round 2 2 hdc in each stitch around. (20 hdc)

Round 3 *Hdc in next stitch, 2 hdc in next stitch*, repeat from * around. (30 hdc)

Round 4 *Hdc in next 2 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch*, repeat from * around. (40 hdc)

Round 5 *Hdc in next 3 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch*, repeat from * around. (50 hdc).

Round 6 *Hdc in next 4 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch*, repeat from * around. (60 hdc)

Round 7 *Hdc in next 5 stitches, 2 hdc in next stitch*, repeat from * around. (70 hdc)

Round 8 – 27 Just continue to hdc around for each round. On round 27, make sure to sl st in last st. (70 hdc)

Round 28 Ch 1, hdc around, then sl st in ch 1. Fasten off. (70 hdc)
