Magical Shawl

It’s shawl season, and I wanted to come up with something that can virtually be made in any yarn/hook size for the different seasons. This shawl is light and airy, but still warm enough to ward off the chill.

Pattern is written in US crochet terms. This pattern gives you PERMISSION TO SELL your finished items. It is appreciated if you credit the design to Acquanetta Ferguson and to list the pattern link.

  1. How much yarn do I need. You have 3 balls or 1.5 mandala. Doesn't tell me how many ounces or yards are needed. Love this shawl and really want to get started on this project. Christmas is coming way too fast.

    1. Sorry I have been crocheting like a fiend lol it is that of the year! The 3 magic ice balls are around 100 ozs each so around 300 ozs total. They are both the same type of yarn which I was not super clear about lol. I just guesstimated with the Mandala, but you can probably just use 1. I was over estimating.

    2. Are you meaning oz or grams? I'm assuming grams considering 300 oz of yarn is....a lot lol

  2. Sorry. One more thing ... What brand yarn did you use... Is magic ice the color or the brand?

    1. It is Ice Yarns. Here is the link: https://www.iceyarns.com/baby-yarns-magic-light-white-multicolor-maroon-black But I purchase normally from a U.S. reseller:

  4. How large is this. I want to make it a generous size for a 3x lady.

    1. It is 60 inches for the wingspan. If you need it bigger, just add more rows.
